This rare first edition Chautauqua Poets was acquired from a fine local estate. It was privately published by "Chautauqua Poets, Chautauqua N.Y", compiled by Dudley Gordon, this hardbound book measures 5 3/4" x 8 7/8" and contains 82 pages. The text is clean, tight and intact; the cover is largely clean, just a few minor rubs, and very light bumps at the corners. The spine intact - lightly rubbed. In her column, published December 17, 1936 Eleanor Roosevelt wrote "I have also just received a small volume of poetry, a collection called "The Chautauqua Poets" edited by Dudley Gordon. One can not expect uniform excellence in any collection but if you like poetry I think you will enjoy looking over this little book." This 1936 column was clipped and is included with this copy.
Rare 1800’s Tintype Photo Fancy Black Americana Man. Watch chain can be seen just behind this fellows jacket as he leans on this piece of period furniture. Tintype photo 4" x 2.5" probably taken in a studio.
This elegant Rosenthal fine china teapot in the delicate Bettina pattern is in like new condition, preserved with care in a fine estate, it possibly was never used. The pot measures 6" high to the top of the finial by about 10 1/2" spout to handle. The trademark underneath is shown in the images.
Popularized in the 1920s, the cartoon, Bonzo the Dog, was created by artist George Studdy. Bonzo's popularity inspired extensive product lines. A vast array of different salt and pepper sets were produced. Measuring 7 3/8" wide by 3 1/2" wide (approx.) this charming condiment set features Bonzo the Pup as a salt and pepper shaker set on a tray complete with lidded mustard jar and the original lusterware spoon. The tray originally had a basket handle which is no longer present. All completely intact free from any chips or cracks. The mark underneath is shown in the images, stamped in red ink, the letter"H" forms the center of flower petals, surrounded by the words "Hand Painted Japan". The shakers retain their original corks.

A Rare fishing book, Return To The River, A Story of the Chinook River, 1941 1st Ed. Rare Signed Fishing Book,#187 of 500 Author & Illustrator Signed First Editions. Written by Roderick Haig-Brown & Published By William Morrow & Company Stated First Edition signed by both the author, Haig Brown, and illustrator, Charles De Feo, 6.25 x 9.25", 248 pages. Sixteen black and white plates by Charles De Feo, and a full color frontispiece. The classic story if Pacific coast salmon runs. Bound in beige cloth which shows some soil, the edges show light wear; the corners are bumped. The spine is maroon with gilt titles; the spine is brittle,worn and chipped at the top particularly and tattering at the bottom; please check the images for a view of the spine. Middlemarch, Volumes I and II by George Eliot, Rare Sterling Edition Leather Bound, Gilt Marbelized Boards & End Papers This is a very rare antique edition of George Eliot’s Middlemarch, fancy bound in leather with marbelized boards and end papers, both embellished with profuse gilt. On the the title page it says "Illustrated Sterling Edition Middlemarch by George Eliot, Boston, Dana Estes & Company Publishers." Although undated, this book was obviously published very close to the original publication date of Middlemarchin 1872. The boads are bumped at the corners, with a slight tatter at the top of the spine and there is a 1.5" split on the front of the leather on the bound edge. The hinges front and back are unbroken - the text is clean, tight and intact, appearing to never have been read. This book was stored with great care in a local estate.

Starke Design Bowl of Fruit Salt & Pepper & Sugar Bowl. Plastic set from the 1950’s, Made in Brooklyn USA. 3.5" tall 4.5" in diameter. The Pineapple and lemon are the shakers and the bottom of the bowl is the sugar bowl.
This excellent pair of figural Santa Claus Christmas Candle Holders, circa 1950s, measures 3.5" tall. Cleverly designed, Santa’s sack forms the candle holder itself. These are free from any chips or cracks, each piece retains its original "Napco" silver foil palette shaped label which says "A Napco Ceramic, Japan"
This cute little boy and girl are clad in red choir robes and hold their little music books. Their outfits and books are highlighted in gold trim. The measure just a bit more than 3.5" tall, and are free from any chips or cracks. The original corks are intact; the mark underneath is "Japan" stamped in red ink.
Measuring 4.75" tall, this delightful vintage pair of Santa Claus shakers is trimmed in gold. The original paint is very nicely intact, showing only minor spots of paint wear, mostly on the back of the three hole shaker - which is the Santa holding the bells in his left hand. These are marked underneath with paper labels "Japan". The original corks are present, and this set is completely free from any chips or cracks.

These realistic, colorful turkeys measure 3 5/8" tall. Free from any chips or cracks, with the original corks intact, these bear a black glazed on ink stamp "Japan". The male retains the original "McCrory’s" price tag.
This exquisite, finely crafted pin was acquired from a fine local estate where it was stored with care. It measures about 1.75" and is trademarked on the back "Dêposé France". The delicate double level mold features two doves, one in flight, wings spread gracefully, with quite finely detailed feathers. Be sure to look at the images and note the second layer appearing clearly on the back view of the piece, this lends a striking three dimensional effect to this antique brooch. The pin mechanism is fully intact and operates smoothly. The word "Dêposé" refers to the rights or patent granted for an exclusive jewelry design in France.
This attractive, vintage wall clock in the desirable Stangl Rooster pattern is signed "Verichron" on the front. Measuring 10" in diameter, completely free from any chips cracks or crazing, the clock is in running order. There are two trademarks underneath the plate, which are shown in the images, one appears in gold ink and the other in brown ink, both marks are glazed on. There is also paper label on clock mechanism, "Precision Crafts, Inc."
