This is a pair from a scarce, desirable series set of tall, range size anthropomorphic vintage salt and pepper shakers by Ardalt, Japan. Mama Cat holds her kitten and carries a basket containing a fish. Papa Dog holds a baby bottle, and a clock. Measuring 5 3/4" tall, they are marked underneath the with a brown glazed on ink stamp "Made in Japan" . These are both free from any chips or cracks. The paint is intact and original and the quality of the pottery retains it’s integrity. |
