The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art has for many years preserved the designs created by unnamed artists of antiquity for posterity by offering for sale their unique concepts executed in quality jewelry. This sleek leopard pin measures 1.75" tall and is fabricated in brass electroplated with 24K gold. It is signed and dated on the back, impressed "MMA 1985". The paperwork describes: "The design for this pin is adapted from a detail of a leopard on a resist-dyed cotton cushion cover made in the Deccani kingdom of Golconda between 1640 and 1650..." This pin is offered complete with its original paperwork, and in its original box. |
