1883 La Espanola Wooden Cigar Box. Wonderful lithographic image on this vintage cigar box. Workers are loading a ship in the background, coat of arms, crown, anchor, man with a donkey, "La Espanola". This box is 10.75" x 4.75" x 2" high, the Revenue Tax Stamp indicates "Series of 1883", There is some wear around the edges, the bottom has a 5" split and although the lid is tightly hinged there is a split left and right ends as shown. This box originated in Factory 3994, 9th District of Pennsylvania and held 50 cigars.
