1951 New York City Horse Children's Book 1st Ed. "The Horse Who Had His Picture in the Paper" written by Phyllis McGinley, Helen Stone, illustrator. 7.7" x 9.9" hardbound, first edition, dust jacket, 48 pages profuse three color illustrations. Apparently the author wrote a series of humorous children's books about "Joey" a New York City horse who pulls a vegetable wagon. Ms. McGinley wrote for the New Yorker Magazine. The dust jacket shows some wear; it has done its job of protecting the boards and binding which are in excellent condition, book is clean, tight and intact.
