George Cruickshank 1829 Etching Racial Theme George Cruickshank 1829 Etching - Nine Humourous Caricatures - One Racially Themed marked "Designed Edtched & Published by George Cruickshank - Nov 1st 1829", this authentic art work comes to us in excellent condition, having been carefully preserved for the last 175 years or so. Untrimmed, it measures 14" x 10 3/4", two 1 1/2" edge tears, one at the top and one at the bottom were taped long ago from the back. The corners are a little shabby and there is some very slight chipping to the botomm edge. Any edge damage is obscured by a matte. The etching was mounted at some time in its history into a matte from which it could easily be removed, as it is fastened at the top edge only. The condition is clearly evident in the image.
